In one sweep, this dynamic lady from Inle Lake in Myanmar, Yin Myo Su, helped Inle Lake to recover and benefit from the increase in tourism; she implemented a waste water management system to combat pollution, opened a vocational hospitality training to school the locals thus providing them a means of self-sufficiency, opened a resort of traditional houses built on stilts over the water to create jobs, helped raise awareness of the lake’s endemic fish, re-populated the Burmese cat population and held informative environmental workshops to drive awareness and support.
Amazing!! A true Eco-Tourism Champion at work!
